A Hidden Gem within the Park

Written by Portia White

The Trails is a hidden gem of the Los Feliz community in Los Angeles, CA. I used to live five minutes from this quaint cafe, which it’s nestled to the side at the base of some of Griffith Park's trails. Griffith Park is 4,210 acres and home to many wonderful trails, wildlife, and the Griffith Park Observatory. The park is considered one of the largest municipal parks with urban wilderness areas in the United States.

Whatever you need after or before your hike, they’ve got it! Except alcohol. The sandwiches are tasty, fresh, and light. But, what people come here for is the Stumptown coffee, daily made pastries, scones, and quiche for breakfast and lunch. Their is always a line, and it’s worth it.

Whether you make a quick stop at the cafe for a bit of coffee and food, or make a day of it with a picnic and hike, you can't go wrong with either choice.
